Akzo Nobel has appointed Jim Rees to succeed Rinus Rooseboom as general manager of business unit (BU) car refinishes. Rees previously served as general manager of sub-business unit (SBU) car refinishes Americas. AB Ghosh, currently SBU manager marine and protective coatings Americas, assumes the position of general manger Americas. Rooseboom has been appointed general manger of Akzo Nobel’s newly formed global BU decorative coatings. Rees has spent much of his 25-year career in the coatings industry at a major U.S. based paint maker, leading teams in R&D, operations, sales, marketing and general management.
